This week Year 3 visited St Ninian’s Church in order to enhance their RE subject learning about the features that are found in a Christian Church and special celebrations that are undertaken there.
The year group were welcomed by some of the ‘Open the Book’ volunteers that are regular visitors into our school and the children were fully engaged with finding out more about Christenings and Weddings.
Alongside this, they enjoyed going on a treasure hunt seeking out more information about the lovely stain glass windows that make up the décor of St Ninians as well as trying to find as many of the different stone masons marks that are hidden around the church on the beautiful hand carved stone work.
Year 3 were very ‘respectful’ in this peaceful setting.
