On behalf of all the staff and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to Scoill yn Jubilee.
Our vision is of a happy and nurturing school community where we build confidence, inspire a love of learning and have high aspirations for all.
A learning community exists here, where your child will have the opportunity to become an effective learner, achieve personal success and thrive in a safe, caring and inclusive environment. In my experience, children learn best when they are actively involved in experiences that are relevant and meaningful to them and know what they are aiming to achieve. Children should be inspired to take ownership of their learning through choice, risk-taking and by engaging in creative and critical thinking and problem-solving opportunities throughout their curriculum.
Our team of passionate and skilled educators is dedicated to providing high-quality learning that is engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. We believe in a holistic approach to education, nurturing the development of not only academic skills but also social, emotional, and physical well-being. For effective learning to take place a climate for learning which is safe, inclusive and supportive needs to be fostered by all. Relationships play a very important part in school life at Scoill yn Jubilee and we appreciate and reward those who exhibit our values of Respect, Courage, Responsibility, Honesty, Kindness and Understanding.
Our curriculum builds on pupils’ existing knowledge, skills, dispositions and attitudes to provide opportunities to make learning meaningful and introduces children to a wide range of materials, activities and learning challenges. To help build on children’s prior learning, our team of dedicated professionals work closely together to personalise the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning, using a range of teaching approaches, planning differentiated work, questioning, and using assessment of and for learning.
Our school is equipped with purpose built areas such as our Forest School environment, resources, and technology to enhance the learning experience. From well-equipped classrooms to dedicated spaces for sports and arts, we aim to provide an environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and exploration across various domains.
At Scoill yn Jubilee we understand the importance of collaboration between parents, teachers, and students. We strongly encourage parental involvement and open communication to ensure that we provide the best possible educational experience for your child. We value your insights, support, and partnership in creating a harmonious and enriching environment for our students to thrive.
As we carry out this exciting educational journey together, I invite you to actively engage with our school community, participate in events, and contribute your ideas and talents. By working in close collaboration, we can ensure that each child’s individual needs are met and that they grow into confident, well-rounded individuals ready to embrace the challenges of the future.
